Choose from two petrol engines with innovative and original
technical solutions from Alfa Romeo engineering. The
JTS direct injection system delivers powerful, sparkling
and electric performance with lots of engine torque,
even at low speeds, ensuring tremendous pick up without
having to change gear. Designed for unparalleled driving
pleasure, these engines also guarantee low fuel consumption
and low emissions as both engines conform to Euro 4
emission standards.
The new 3.2 JTS (191 kW) engine is the most powerful
engine in the Alfa Romeo range and for the first time
in an engine with this architecture, it adopts the exclusive
Twin Phaser system of varying opening angle of the valves.
Just as refined, the 2.2 JTS has four cylinders, twin
cam shaft and 16 valves with phase variator. It delivers
136 kW and is remarkable for its lightness, obtained
by using an aluminium alloy engine block and cylinder
head. Two counter-rotating shafts reduce vibrations
ensuring the smooth running that is more typical of
a six-cylinder engine.
