Powerful

The new engine has been improved in many respects resulting
in improved performances and higher torque, as well
as lower running costs and greater profitability.
The 2.3 120 bhp Multijet has been designed
for a long service life (300,000 km) and significantly
longer maintenance intervals every 45,000km's (5.5 lit. of oil).
Thanks to the Multijet injection system,
the engine delivers a max. power output of 120 bhp at
3600 rpm and a peak torque of 32.6 kgm at 2000 rpm,
with a constant torque curve from 2000 to 2800 rpm.

Multijet into the ideal answer for mixed use: sturdy
and with excellent performances, nimble in traffic,
brilliant over long distances, it is perfect for the
transport of people and the distribution of goods in
a local area. Torque is so high it endows the vehicle
with excellent pickup even on a heavy load.
The new engine adopts a cast-iron engine
block base with built-in bearings resulting in minimised
vibration. The glow plugs, placed directly in the combustion
chamber, are controlled by the ECU and make it possible
to achieve a drastic reduction in pre-heating time thereby
reducing the stress the engine is exposed to in cold-starting.
