The civic
is a striking blend of contemporary and state-of-the-art
engineering. Its low aggressive stance gives a commanding
presence on the road as well as a surefooted stability
when accelerating and cornering.
The wraparound
front and rear lights are perfectly integrated into
the car’s sleek, wind-carving profile and are
also much more visible to other road users. The rear
spoiler extends the tapered wedge-shaped look of the
car and is set in the rear windscreen, effectively splitting
it into two parts. The upper rear windscreen has no
wiper but is angled to make it self-cleaning. The rear
door handles are concealed to give the car a streamlined
and uncluttered appearance and the car’s streamlining
and aerodynamic efficiency are also enhanced by a full-length
undercover. The side-indicators carry through the Civics’
triangular design motif and are neatly incorporated
in the door mirrors.

The Civic's 1.8 i-VTEC (Variable-Valve Timing and lift
Electronic Control) engine automatically adjusts valve
timing and lift according to driving conditions, giving
you the ideal balance between fuel economy and driving
performance.

applications, Honda’s high tech turbo-diesel engine
sets new hallmarks for refinement, performance and frugality.
It is offered in conjunction with a six-speed manual

of response and cruising capability.
